Born in Tijuana, and brought up in a hardworking family, Javier is a person with a natural curiosity for taste. Published after a vibrant, 30 year career, The Soul of Baja is a cookbook that is beautiful enough to be on the coffee table with photography from Jaime Fritsch but practical in its design with pull out cards for each recipe.
The book is written in both Spanish and English. It can be purchased at his restaurants throughout Baja or in the U.S. online through the Coastal Curator website.
